These are just ASMR at this point. Fixed my double pressing issues and they feel, sound and move amazing. They're also sturdy pieces, when fitting them in it feels like I'll need a crowbar to remove them after.

Great sound, no stem wobble. Pre-lube is sufficient to prevent scraping. Overall an excellent switch with similar characteristics to an ink black or oil king.

I recently acquired the Gateron Cap V2 switches for my mechanical keyboard, and overall, I'm quite impressed with their quality and performance. However, there are some aspects worth noting.

Firstly, the build quality of these switches is exceptional, offering durability suitable for heavy usage. They provide a smooth and crisp typing experience, although they do have a slightly louder "clack" than expected. If you're aiming for a quieter "thock," opting for the Milky Yellow cap might be a better choice.

The springs in these switches are on the lighter side, resulting in a less snappy return action, which is normal for keypresses under 50g. While some switches exhibited spring ping, applying GPL105 grease seemed to alleviate the issue, though its long-term effectiveness remains uncertain.

One standout feature is the copper-plated steel springs, enhancing their longevity. It's advisable to use lighter lubricants for the stem due to the weaker springs, preventing potential sticking issues.

Considering their price point, the Gateron Cap V2 switches offer decent quality manufacturing. However, the plastic composition tends to produce a louder sound, necessitating additional foam padding within the keyboard housing for noise dampening.

These switches may not be suitable for aggressive gaming due to their lighter springs, but they are adequate for office work. However, they are not recommended for high-speed typing.

In conclusion, the Gateron Cap V2 switches provide a good balance of performance and affordability, with some minor considerations regarding sound and spring strength. They are a viable option for office use but may not meet the demands of competitive gaming or rapid typing.

Got a set of the Cap V2 browns, since I always wanted the super light tactile feeling of browns minus that rattly and clacky sound that is usually associated with them. For gat brown lovers, these are probably the best iteration. I have a set of the G-pro browns, and while smooth and deep sounding, they are still loud. These are just perfect, and they do come with some spring ping. However, that can be fixed with some free time and oil. I didn't bother lubing them, just bag oiled the springs and BOOM! They turn into near endgame or probably endgame light linear switches (atleast for me). They have a mellow sound which is on the thockier side thanks to the denser top housing and the extra noise is completely removed due to the hollow stem. It honestly feels like I am done searching for light linears. Package takes some time without the express option, so if you need them soon, go for the express shipping.
